Short notes on molecular mechanisms behind antimicrobial drug resistance

چکیده

Infectious disease mortality have occurred often, raising public awareness of their hazards and advancing global antibiotic research. On the other hand, higher levels in natural ecosystems are a result increased demand use. Gene mutations causing resistance bacterial populations were brought on by selection adaption. The emergence antibiotic-resistant bacteria was caused spread genes ecosystems, which resulted number diseases scale. An overview history discovery, use, mechanisms is given this review study. Bioinformatics also used to combat resistance. To control that no longer respond therapy, creation new medications appears be primary requirement today.

Molecular Mechanisms of Antimicrobial Resistance

In the last 50 years bacteria have demonstrated a remarkable ability to develop and share resistance to every antibiotic that has been developed, often by quite unexpected mechanisms and much more readily than was originally predicted (Spratt, 1994). Antibiotic resistant bacteria can live and multiply in the presence of therapeutic levels of antibiotics. They can be resistant in their natural s...

Shigella Antimicrobial Drug Resistance Mechanisms, 2004-2014.

To determine antimicrobial drug resistance mechanisms of Shigella spp., we analyzed 344 isolates collected in Switzerland during 2004-2014. Overall, 78.5% of isolates were multidrug resistant; 10.5% were ciprofloxacin resistant; and 2% harbored mph(A), a plasmid-mediated gene that confers reduced susceptibility to azithromycin, a last-resort antimicrobial agent for shigellosis.

Molecular mechanisms in multiple myeloma drug resistance.

Multiple myeloma (MM) is predominantly an incurable malignancy despite high-dose chemotherapy, autologous stem cell transplant and novel agents. MM is a genetically heterogeneous disease and the complexity increases as the disease progresses to a more aggressive stage. MM arises from a plasma cell, which produces and secretes non-functioning immunoglobulins. Most MM cells are sensitive to prote...

Mechanisms of Antimicrobial Resistance

There is no doubt that antimicrobial agents have saved the human race from a lot of suffering due to infectious disease burden. Without antimicrobial agents, millions of people would have succumbed to infectious diseases. Man has survived the accidental wrath of microorganisms using antimicrobial agents and other mechanisms that keep them at bay. Hardly years after the discovery and use of the ...
